Amanda Kett, M.S., CCC-SLP
Amanda has over twelve years experience as a pediatric speech-language pathologist. She has worked with clients ranging in age from 14 months to 21 years, focusing primarily on preschool-aged children with speech/language delays and children with autism. She has extensive experience evaluating children, both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary evaluation team. She enjoys collaborating with parents and teachers to provide individualized and child-centered interventions.
Amanda has provided evaluations and therapy to students with autism, developmental language disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders (stuttering), hearing impairment, and a range of rare syndromes. She participated in a two-year autism training through the Arizona Department of Education as part of a team and is trained in administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). She is experienced in using both low tech and high tech alternative and augmentative communication supports (AAC).

Our Process
Initial Consultation: At the initial appointment, we will review your child’s history and your concerns. This may involve reviewing paperwork from your child’s school, pediatrician, or private therapists. Or, if this is your first stop, we will discuss your child’s development and needs and we may choose to conduct a brief screening to determine whether a full evaluation is necessary.
Evaluation: A speech-language evaluation is necessary before services can begin. Referrals from teachers or doctors are a great starting point, but don’t provide enough information to determine your child’s specific needs. I can provide a full evaluation if you do not already have a current one in place from your school district or a private provider. Evaluations generally take 1-2 hours, so this will be scheduled at a separate appointment.
