After an initial evaluation, he joined the first step of the rehab recovery program, where session were held twice a week for initial crisis stage patients. Psychotherapy became a core focus for Karim in those sessions.<\/p><p>In the initial phases he was resistant, but gradually began sharing his routine and eventually he opened up about his challenges. He unveiled strained relationships with his father and wife, stemming from his father&#8217;s alcoholism and his forced marriage at 18, disrupting his education.<\/p><p>Experiencing a history of self-harm and auditory hallucinations, Karim received medical treatment, family psychco-education, psychotherapy, and participated in group sessions at Karwan-e-Hayat. Through the joint efforts of the psychiatrists and psychologists at the hospital, his medication compliance and anger management were reinforced. Over time, his condition improved with diminished hallucinations and anger outbursts, leading to his recent discharge.<\/p><p>Follow-up therapy was advised, alongside continued medication for relapse prevention.
