Her symptoms included aggressiveness on minor incidents, disturbed sleep, isolation and talking to herself.<\/p><p>Didi was non-communicative for the initial sessions, barely speaking and only communicating if asked a question. Her narrations only revolved around her daily routine. It was an emotional time for her family, because they were all desperate for her to receive treatment and live a normal life.<\/p><p>As she gradually became used to the Karwan-e-Hayat environment and company around her, Didi started to open up and reveal her fears \u2013 her uncontrollable anger, relationship conflicts, mood swings and general lack of interest in life. Her psychiatrist encouraged to speak up and gave her the support needed to take her therapy seriously. And she responded well.<\/p><p>As part of her therapy, a Karwan-e-Hayat psychologist charted out a daily routine for her. This was a combination of physical activity and mental stimulation which prevented her from overthinking and controlling her mood swings. This new routine had a sooner-than-expected positive impact on her and she was able to control her problematic thoughts and curb her anger management issues.<\/p><p>Till date, Didi has shown massive improvement because of this new routine. She credits Karwan-e-Hayat for giving her a new lease of life. She willingly attends family gatherings, and is more forthcoming in her discussions with friends and family members.
